Absolutely delicious! The food was so rich in flavor and spicy. The seafood is so fresh. The price was reasonable and there are plenty of tables inside. The waiters were attentive and spoke mostly Spanish. I highly recommend visiting!

Had an incredible lunch at Mariscos. Honestly I didn't do any of the ordering myself because I showed up late and my friends had already ordered a perfect array of dishes. The aguachile verde was my favorite part of the meal, but everything was fantastic. We also had shrimp, octopus tacos, tostadas, and ceviche - I don't really think you can go wrong at all with this menu, I still can't stop thinking about the meal a week later. Go go go!!

Came here as a group of 5 for dinner and was immediately seated. The fish and octopus tacos were great, along with the aguachile verde that we shared. (Would definitely recommend this to share) Service was friendly; they took the time to explain the dishes on the menu. ( Most of the menu was in Spanish) I will say that the portion they give for the price isn't the greatest; I left still feeling hungry and ended up going to Jubilee for $2 dollar burgers. All in all, it's a pretty good place, especially if you're into seafood and ceviche. I would recommend coming if you're in the area.

What a gem! We went to the og place deep into Jackson Heights and it was worth it. We happened to go right when they were celebrating Mexican Independence Day, so the vibes were awesome with live music here and there. The aguachile verde with just shrimp was heavenly! I wanted to slurp up every last drop. The shrimp cocktail was unique and smoky, and the grilled shrimps were large, fresh and juicy. The portions were great, and worth every penny we spent. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Best ceviche I've ever had! I went for lunch during a weekday. Service was fast. They have an extensive ceviche menu. I got the mixtos verde. It was delicious! The seafood was fresh and it had the right amount of spiciness. I didn't try the tacos but now I can't wait to return to try some other things on the menu.

Ordered: El Gobernador Taco (~$8): Mexican style shrimp and Chihuahua cheese Pescado Taco (~$4): with tomato, cucumber, onion, cilantro, cabbage, with special house sauce Camarón Taco (~$4): with tomato, cucumber, onion, cilantro, cabbage, with special house sauce La Mixta Tostada (~$12): shrimp, octopus, fish, onions, avocado, and jalapeño Aya's take: Places like this are what Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Ave is all about! good eats, no frills, and local vibes. The seafood is super fresh and I absolutely loved the La Mixta Tostada. It's a perfect portion and cheaper compared to their ceviches and aguachiles. The Pescado Taco was by far my favorite in terms of flavor and value. El Gabernador Taco was creamy, buttery, and cheesy with bits of shrimp in each bite. It was a good try. They have plenty of salsas on the table which add flavor to anything you order. They even had a live band while we were there. Good experience and I would definitely come back!

Mariscos El Submarino In the midst of the chaos of Roosevelt Avenue is this hidden gem. It took me three times of walking back and forth in the same block just to find it and when I did, I was surprised that it's already filled with customers at pre-dinner time. I quickly surveyed the place. Most diners were enjoying cervezas and cocktails, and the decor is undeniably kitschy with a cringy mustached submarine and a smiling octopus as the restaurant mascots. A quote by the kitchen door says, and I translate from Spanish, "The beer here is colder than the heart of your ex". Haha! I was already laughing even before the alcohol. At this spot, seafood is indeed king. I tried four kinds of hard tacos: El Cracken (octopus), El Gobernador (Camaron), Pescado (breaded fish) and El Rey (steak, the only one that's not seafood). I also tried the specialty dish, aguachile, a Mexican dish of raw seafood that's swimming in slurp-worthy mix of lime juice, pepper, red onions and cucumber that was served with big corn chips to scoop out the delightfully marinated octopus, fish and shrimp. It's served in a volcanic stone vessel called a molcajete. The aguachile was so refreshing after a summer walk. My hibiscus margarita was a perfect accompaniment, powerful enough to give me a nice sway as I walked to their bathroom that although very clean, was darkened and blue-lighted, mimicking the feel of being in a submarine. Another Hahaha. And only after I downed the margarita did I realize that the name of the spot and its logo may not be so innocent at all? And does that man right there really served Skyflakes crackers in a Mexican restaurant? Hic ‍! Gracias por la deliciosa experiencia, @mariscoselsubmarino ! #curious_eater #queenseats #jacksonheights #mexicanfood #aguachile
